This month’s issue of “Principal” has a host of great stuff to keep you growing to the next level.  As I think about the things that helped me improve myself over the years, it was exactly publications like this that helped to get me thinking; where I could hear first hand how others saw the world and how they were planning their activities.  So of course it was a pleasure to accept the invitation to be guest editor for this months issue of “Principal”.

Amongst other great articles, this month you’ll read some great advice from Melissa Karatjas about how to find the right team, which is key for me in growing my business.  I always remind managers and owners regularly that ‘a business never outpaces its leader’, equally, great leaders need the support of a great team.  A team that is not only talented, but also passionate and aligned.  And of course, one that works well together.

You’ll also read about how to deal with taking over a new team, and some of the challenges (and solutions) when cultural change is needed from new Principal, Kasey McDonald.  And Joe Galati’s article discussing the three stages of the business lifecycle is a great read to get us all thinking about our goals and where we are in terms of achieving them.
